The most effective way to use the chat room, IMO, is to:
Stay Logged In
Contact a person 1st if you have an urgent question or problem to discuss
If you have some issue regarding Photos, How To, or whatever, create a New Room. Then, send an PM or eMail and invite people to participate at a given time. This is very effective.
We are only in our 1st week using this, and I am open to all suggestions. I am sure a lot of you have had more Chat Room experience then I. There has been limited use so far, and that is to be expected. Therefore, we need to be positive and let this seek it's own level. There are a lot of High Power Chat Room Software programs out there.If the participation warrants using one of these, then it will get done.
Without this sounding like "Sour Grapes," which is not my intention, there are a lot of new things out there that are being underutilized, except by a few. I have no control over this, and for the forseeable future, I will keep moving forward to support those very loyal members who are working hard and keeping this going.
