Curves separation from BG

Had several questions about it. If you get the picture, where the main object is not out - you go to threshhold tool and determine most bright area (moving slider to the right till only one white area left)and 1/2 dark area - slider 3/4 to the left - and what is ready to dissapear, you can mark those areas, or just remember them. Then you go to curves take the wight eyedrop and sample bright area, then dark eyedropper and sample 3/4 dark area - if you like the results keep it, if not - just full around in different areas. I did have a special table with white scale and color table on top of it, but I missplaced it somwhere in the guts of my disorganized comp.

Wow

Wonderful explanation...I will print this and add to my APOW how-to folder. This site has become a treasure chest of knowledge and information. Thank you so very much Andrey and Mary
