PHOTOSHOP

Okay, I see a lot of people are using PS & CS2 and making some great strides. I am about to undertake improving my skills. Does anyone have any materials they have been using to help them get started, and think are good. If so, please send me the product information so that I can check it out!

I know how to do a lot of the basic things and want to get right into the heart of it. Most of the function in PS is in PP, but I can't translate it.

Let me know!

PS

Mary sent me some great instructions which got me started. I saved them so I can forward them to you. Then Andrey has some great tips for working with selective color, specifically black for definition, both on the forum and in some of his review answeres he returned. Then there is trial and error. What ever I can find I will try to forward, hope this helps...Beth

Re: PHOTOSHOP

I can send you some bad pictures, that is a good training material. Look for my link to B&W transformation - it is very good in PS. There are planty of free resources in the net, just google it. And welcome to the mainstreem...

I thinkI know how

I was playing with that today using a tutorial that I almost figured out. Here is the link, tell me if this is how you do it. Makes sense to me. Doing it is another thing!

The other one which is that one I have benn playing with, no images submittd yet, still making experiments though is called: Creative Photoshop lighting techniques by barry huggins.

This book has step by step tutorials

Thanks all.

I am going to look fo some books today or tomorrow. You know, the channel bit I sent, is conceptually clear to me. Jumping around CS2 is not. In PP and the new beta version of ACD, you can do a similar thing using color rather than B&W like his example. I do not know how to compare the two.

Cheri et al

I would be interested in any materials you might have. This way, perhaps even if I don't use them, I could put them up on the site for others to have access to. I was thnking about doing this for awhile.

Thanks.
