I heard from Malu, and she is out of the hospital and recuperating. She told me she was doing good, but was having a lot of pain. I expect to hear from her again by the weekend. She told me to wish you all the best, and would be back soon.

Had a long Skype session with Malu today. She is fine. Having Computer problems and is going to purchase new one this week. She has to ease back into things, and wanted me to pass on her thanks for your concerns. She can't wait to get back full time. Interesting point..... She road with her son to the Drugstore, because she is not allowed to drive. Took her pocket camera with her, and took some pics. She is going to put them up! That's my friend Malu! Great lady in every way! |

I'm back!
First of all I want to say a BIG THANK YOU for all your wonderful and sweet messages. I was reading the forums and you brought tears to my eyes. You are wonderful friends and I missed you lots.
I feel better now, had a major stomach surgery, had complications for some time and after several unsuccessful treatments there was no other choice but this surgery. Fortunately everything is fine now. The recovery will take a few weeks but Im getting stronger everyday and ready to start taking new pics.
As Larry told you, my computer broke so I need to buy a new one, will upload a few old pics, can't edit anything now but will go on reviewing all your great images and catch up replying to the ones you've made of my images. I am depending on my kids' computers so whenever I have them around I will be here.

APOW just isn't complete without you. I know you need to take it easy for a while, but it's just so good to hear that you're on the road to recovery. Come back as soon you can, after recuperating and computer buying, but until then, we'll leave the light on for you...

Welcome baaaack to APOW.....I know what you mean about not being able to edit.......I just GOT a new computer but my old Photoshop won't load with latest upgrade so am waiting for Santa to bring me a state-of - the- art editor. It is so good to be back!
Now that I started to do some reviews and replying to your I realize how much I missed you and being here, I knew I missed you lots but now I know it was really lots!
I can stay sitted for longer periods without pain so I can do more reviews also :)))
Let me tell you a little story so you will laugh a bit :)
When I was at the hospital, the first day, they took me to the xray and they asked me to put on that silly white robe, you know which, they didn't know I had my point and shoot hidden with my clothes in a small room next to the xray room, so while they kept me sitted on a chair and they guy who was taking the xray went to check if the xray came out ok, left, I went into the small room took my camera out and took a pic of the xray machine, when he came out he saw me with the camera in hand and I said oops I was just looking at the pics I had in my camera hehe
Then once in my room and with the iv on, I was taking pics from my window, it had a nice view, there is one with my reflection there, the nurses were just laughing at me. Also when I went for a walk, with my boyfriend (iv solution thingy, as I called it) I took pics from all windows, I was in the 6th floor. All these were taken with my point and shoot. A photographer is always a photographer right! :)
