Is anybody else having trouble with those helpful red review alerts that tell us when we have a review or a PM? For the past 3 weeks or so mine are almost never there, although I now check and see many reviews were written. Or, it says I have 1 but actually there are several (happy day!), OR, which is most annoying, someone has graciously gone back to previous dates and reviewed "old" photo entries but I don't see them for days or weeks because there is no alert. The alerts for reviews and PMs worked just fine at the start but now are fairly absent or random. This is perhaps why I have many reviews I've written about other photos that have languished without reply. YOU DIDN"T CHECK BACK TO SEE MY REVIEW (and probably several others). If it can't be fixed, then please remember that all reviews aren't checked in red so it would be a good idea to go back 2 weeks (otherwise archived) every day to discover some surprises among the "oldies". I know some of MY reviews are waiting there for you. trish (pb) | | | [1] | | | June 23rd, 2007 10:51 AM | | LVE

I believe he reviews light only comes on for the reviews given for the current day. If you review my photo today, the review light comes on. If you review a photo I submitted 4 days ago it does not. I too have problems with this. I always look at my reviews eveyday. However, I just scolled down my photos, and there was one reviewed that I submitted three days ago, and it had a review. It wasn't there yesterday.
Perhaps this could be changed in the future whereby the light comes on whenever a review is made to any photo in the 14 day window before the photo is archived.
I will look into this, but make no immediate promise to change it. This would require my hiring someone to rewrie this code or pay Duff on an hourly basis. Don't want to do that until membership increases.
Hope this answers your question. | | June 23rd, 2007 11:12 AM | | pb

Thanks Larry for detailed explanation of how it SHOULD work. I mainly wrote because for me at least, I have ahd up to 4-5 reviews of a newly posted photo and no light at all, or it says 1 review is posted. Just wondering - it used to be accurate. Now I just check anyway because it's seldom right. Thanks so much for your speedy response. | | | [1] | | Login Now to post a reply (You will be brought back here to post your reply) |
