Straight forward and very simple! Without emotion, tell us what you would like to see changed with the submission & review process. At the end of the week, Jacob and I will go over it and make some decisions. I will speak to him tonight and tell him I posted this, because he is in his bunker programming today. This was our agreement! Perhaps he will counter my suggestion and create a survey! We will see. My best. |

I like Pam's suggestion with one revision: Could the new postings not disappear like Cinderella's coach at midnight, but be available for review for a full 24 hrs. from time of posting? ( I like uploading late at night)
Could those photos that have collected 10 reviews be either marked as such or automatically removed from the NEW UPLOADS?
Also: (broken record here)please add ORIGINALITY to criterion. Thank you both!

I think you should have to review before you can submit a photo. And each day your reviewing counter resets so if you review 2 one day 24hrs after that your must start over. Not sure on the number of reviews you must do to submit a photo. I'm thinking 5 or 8.
As far as the galleries and view I like Pam's suggestion and lurline. I also think that if you do 35 (estimate average a day) reviews a day. You then can have the option to randomly or the original way view the gallery.
Thank you for hearing us out. |

1.I preferred the calendar the way it was. with a choice of Random or Normal mode.
2.All New photos uploaded could go to the next days new upload list. That way all photos would have 24 hours on the new upload list.
3.A category for creativity, (for those photos that have been manipulated in some photo editing program, like texturing, special framing, posterizing, etc.
4.A category for non-manipulated photos (straight from the camera)
5. ROT should be included in composition category
thanks for listening!

My vote is with HelenaMaxwell, 100% !
Can I also wonder out loud when are we going to find out what and how the 'Weighting System' is for the photos...maybe I have missed this information coming out, but I am wondering about whether or not there is some kind of value being assigned to us as photographers according to the scoring we get.
I do not mean for us to be like the other site, but I would also like to know if how we review is really going to a weighting value system as I was made to understand originally. It would be good to know....
Apologies if this info is out there and I cannot see it for looking..... |

Thanks for opening this discussion. It was much needed an the responses were excellent. Since I will be gone from Sat. morning until the following Sunday evening, I will not be posting or reviewing. I will look forward to seeing what kind of changes this discussion has brought about when I get back, (Hopefully with lots of photos to share) Nina |

Would it be possible to change it a little bit or add a feature that seperates them so you can keep track of who replied. I want though them and it took for ever to read the reply's back from last week. I would like to be able to see the photo's members have not replied. Which would help me keep track better of replies I have gotten.
Does this make any sense.
I'm not very good at explaining things like this.. |

This is a totally different wish......re: other photographer's own "galleries" or portfolios. This is just perhaps a small tweak. When I see the red YOU DID NOT REVIEW THIS PHOTO...i feel terribly guilty and somehow blamed. I DO like seeing YOU REVIEWED THIS PHOTO, like seeing an old friend again. Could the DID REVIEW messages stay (or green dot or some way to distinguish it) and those not reviewed just leave blank? If not marked DID REVIEW then by default we know we missed it. Not a biggy but I feel the red caps are unnecessarily "loud". Does anybody else have that reaction? Still waiting to hear the extra benefits from our new Friends grouping...anybody? Trish |

On Friday, I am going to consolidate all of these posts and send to everyone in a single document. This will be the same document that Jacob and I review. It may tke a little time to sort it all out, but we are listening! |
