In one of the last forums I saw questions and opinions about equipment and hpotographs. It is not direct proportion between quality of equipmwnt and quality of pictures. A bit different in macro - if you get Mark2 and supermacro with expencive AF rings and go to Missisipy - you can get excellent macro shots without thinking about it, and you can not do excellent macro without good (not necessary expencive) equipment. About regular pictures of any stile - I think the 90% is in you head, 10% in the equipment. I saw good photografers shoot disposable and end up with good results, and 170mb Hitachi - would not help if you do not think before shooting. There are not a lot of features differ pro from an amature, - 1. think before pressing a trigger, 2. Use support (tripod, monopod, support) ALL the time. 3. every time know what is the DOF of this particular picture. 4. Remember that camera sees things differently then you eye. That it will present with different colors, and different (from what you see) contrast. This near by it. What I am doing getting new piese of equipment - going out of my house and shoot 50-70 pictures of anything in contrast light - with different setting, after this I know how sharp my lense is, what gamma it present (some in yellow, some in blue, some are strange), how it works with maximum and minimum apperture and how contrast it is. Make notes, and after this you can imagine what happene after you press the trigger, because this is a magical thinking to think that what you get from the camera - is the same that you have in front of the camera - this is not. To resumee - I think that you can shoot by anything, if you know yours anything and know what your are doing. |
