reviewing scores

I still have troubles to rate DOF and focus. My take that the focus rating when you have a scenary shot does not make any meaning. Usually setting for a scenary - focal length less then 30mm and apperture less then 10 - it gives us a good focus from close proximity to the ethernity, and it makes DOF ethernity. I use NA - how can I judge the ethernity, but have a lot of questions about it. Any quidance. I know that there were a lot of discusssions, but still there is a lot of confusion.

dof

in macro dof serves some purposes, it does not metter is it big or shallow, it metters for me is it appropriate for this picture or not. When I have a scenary dof, that is huge, I have no way to review it, it is an ethernity and suppose to be an ethernity, I can not rate it. I can rate only if it very bad, but good one is an essential component of the picture and can not be rated.

Please reply, I really want to understand what to do with it, because I am using NA on the dof section on scenary and similar pictures, and looks that I am going against the traffick. I have no problems to determine dof in my pictures, but have problems how to rate it. I do not want to be difficult, but really have no idea how to do it. And thank you for the reply.

Focus. Gush it is also not very simple for me, for example I will rate needle sharp focus on the face of 60 yo lady as 6, but motion blurr of an action foto as 9, because focus, DOF, light etc, can not be rated as themself, but only as a part of the picture - are they functional of not, are they helpfull or not. I just saw recently several pages of supershallow focus, that you can get in the macro by using lenses as 100mm f0.75, they are so good, but the focus length is 1/2mm. It looks that I am confused... Not enough tequila...
